NEUROTRAIN
Precision meets innovation: Simulating Basal Ganglia microelectrode
recording for successful Deep Brain Stimulation electrode placement
Our training device addresses the existing gap in training for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery by introducing tactility in our model. It simulates the process of implanting the lead into a precise location within the brain's Basal Ganglia. To enhance the training experience, our device incorporates sensors throughout the cross-section of the Brain and the Basal Ganglia model. These sensors generate corresponding sounds and brainwaves, providing feedback associated with the accurate positioning of the lead.
Our model incorporates an Android application to enhance the training experience by displaying the waveforms and playing sounds associated with a particular location in the Basal Ganglia. Through this, we aim to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of the correct electrode implantation procedure.
